CREATIVE WRITING MENTORING & COACHING
'Why bother mentoring and coaching writers, when you can focus on your novel and nothing else?' I was asked once. 'Because I’m passionate about writing and there’s nothing like empowering others with words' was my answer.
I have twenty years of language teaching experience and I have been writing fiction since 2007. I use both experiences to help aspiring writers acquire sound writing tools and practices, sharpen their voice and develop the structure of their text, be it fiction or non-fiction.
As with language teaching, I adapt myself to my students' needs and support them throughout the whole creative process. I offer mentoring face-to-face or on Skype, with an email follow-up.
I have also led courses and workshops with Cambridge Community Arts (CCA) and the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA), and designed an online writing course.
If you have any questions or would like to work on your writing with me, don’t hesitate to get in touch using the contact form or to email me at caroline [at] blueasanorange.com.
''Caroline was the turning point in my becoming an author.''
''Caroline is an excellent teacher. She helps you get the vague ideas in your head on to paper. She enables you to expand and develop them and guides you through the process. She focuses not only on the creative ideas but on the process of getting to printing, looking at structure, content and layout, which in turn helps to guide your thoughts. I recommend her to anyone I meet who is interested in writing creatively.’''
''I know Caroline from the Cambridge Community Arts Creative Writing Course she was teaching. Caroline is an extremely encouraging, supportive tutor who really helped me feel inspired and nurtured my creativity. I would definitely recommend Caroline to help bring out that inner creative in you!’''
