I'm Caroline. I'm an experienced language teacher with a passion for languages and the learning process, as you can see from the many articles on the topic featured in my blog.

There's nothing I love more than to empower my students with a new language and I enjoy using my skills, experience, and creativity to reach that goal.

I created my method based on my own learning experience. As a matter of fact, I was born and raised in Paris, and I've been living in the UK since 2003. I first started speaking English at the age of nine and I'm now trilingual French / English / Italian.

I have 20+ years of teaching experience (French/English) at university, in language schools, and giving private tuition. I specialise in teaching French to English speakers and English to French speakers. My in-depth knowledge of both languages, which means I'm particularly skilled at French-English difficulties.

I mostly teach adult learners (from 17 years old) and my packages, taster sessions, and courses are all online and tailored specifically to my students' needs.

Because most of my students are anxious at the thought of speaking, especially to native speakers, they immediately imagine an audience ready to judge them, and dread saying the wrong thing.

In order to help them overcome their anxiety, I give them a clear understanding of what it means to learn a language and the tools required, so they can become independent speakers.

My work also includes deconstructing misconceptions my students all have about their ability to express themselves in a language other than their own, as well as debunking many clichés about language learning and about French.

They come to me to learn French with a particular aim in mind, such as:

socialising with family and friends,
relocating to France,
getting to know their neighbours and area while staying in their house in France,
having a more meaningful experience while travelling to a French-speaking country, by interacting with locals,
preparing for exams (A-Levels, the International Baccalaureate, FCE, TOEFL, DELF, DALF, among others),
applying for a new job with a French component,
deepening their relationships with French partners and colleagues,
preparing for presentations and meetings.
